We wanted to let you know, from 1 September we are withdrawing our HSBC Advance Members offers programme and the website will no longer be available. You can still register and use Advance Members until this date.

In these challenging times, we’re aware that some of the venues listed may not be open for business as they play their part in protecting the health and safety of our communities. You’ll see some changes to the offers available on Advance Members during these uncertain times. Offers that are not in line with Government guidance at this time to stay at home will be suspended indefinitely. We are working to provide you with alternative offers in the short term and reintroduce offers when businesses are able to reopen their doors to the public. Win an overnight stay with dinner for two


This month we’ve teamed up with Malmaison to give you the chance to win a well deserved break.

Win an overnight stay in the city of your choice. Malmaison offer 16 boutique hotels in city centres across the UK with quirky rooms and unique bistros in each venue.

This prize includes an overnight stay for two people in a double or twin room, dinner and breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant. The specific room will depend on the chosen hotel.

  1. Customers must have registered and activated their account with HSBC Advance Members to be able to enter this competition. Once logged in to your account enter your telephone number as requested, then select the 'Enter' button. We will only request the contact details required to notify you and if necessary, deliver the prize to you should you be selected as a winner.
  2. Only one entry per customer is permitted.
  3. Entrants must be aged 18 years or over and be resident in England, Scotland or Wales.
  4. Five winners will be selected to win the prize of an overnight stay for two people at any Malmaison Hotel, subject to availability.
  5. There is no purchase required or entry fee to enter this competition. By entering this competition customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  6. Entry to this competition closes on 29th February 2020. All entries must be made before this date.
  7. The winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries on 3rd March 2020. First contact will be via telephone, followed by an email.
  8. The winners will be contacted on 5th March 2020 to understand the venue and dates of the winner choice. Please have three potential dates and venues prepared as booking is subject to availability.
  9. All prizes are subject to availability. The prizes do not include any additional accommodation, food, beverage, transport costs, spending money and/or other additional costs and the relevant winner will need to pay for these. If any of the prizes offered are unavailable due to circumstances beyond the control of the Promoter, winners may be offered an alternative prize of equal or greater value at the Promoter’s discretion.
  10. If a winner does not respond within 14 days, the Prize will be forfeited and The Promoter reserves the right to draw a replacement winner (and that winner must respond to the notification within 14 days or they will also forfeit the Prize).
  11. This prize cannot be negotiated, transferred or exchanged and no cash alternative or part-cash alternative will be offered. The use of the prize may be subject to the Terms and Conditions of the prize manufacturer or issuer and the Promoter and MLP shall not be responsible for such terms or any winner’s compliance with them.

  13. HSBC and MLP and each of their group companies and contractors will not be liable (to the extent permitted by law) for any loss or damage arising out of organising or holding this competition, the supply of any goods and/or services carried out by third parties in conjunction with this competition or as a result of a customer winning the prize including without limitation in relation to:
    • any lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or incorrect entries;
    • any errors, interruption, delay in operation or transmission, line failure, theft or destruction of entries;
    • the use or enjoyment of any offer and associated goods or services; or if the offer does not run as planned.
    This clause does not seek to exclude the liability of HSBC and/or MLP and each of their group companies and contractors for (a) death or personal injury caused by HSBC and/or MLP and each of their group companies and contractors negligence, (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and/or (c) any other matter for which it would be unlawful for HSBC and/or MLP and each of their group companies and contractors to exclude or attempt to exclude their liability. Customers’ statutory rights are not affected.
  14. It is the winners’ responsibility to comply (at their own expense) with any laws requiring payment of any tax, duty, levy or similar impost relating to the award of any prize, and the Promoter shall have no responsibility in respect thereof.
  15. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries by asking for email address and identity details. If customers don’t meet or stop meeting any of the criteria set out in these Terms and Conditions after entering the competition, then such customers may be disqualified and any prize such customers may have won will be forfeited.
  16. Any personal information customers who enter the competition provide will be processed by or on behalf of the Promoter, and used to run the competition and to administer the fulfilment of the prizes. Personal data may be stored and processed in the United Kingdom or overseas (which includes outside of the European Economic Area), by the Promoter or other parties on the Promoter’s behalf for the purpose of administering this competition.   17. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel the competition (or any part of it) without notice if required by law or due to reasons beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control. The Promoter also reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel the competition for a specific reason where it’s reasonable or valid to do so.

  19. The winners each agree to take part and allow their name and location to be used in any promotional activities reasonably requested by the Promoter.
