  1. Customers must hold a HSBC UK Advance Account and have registered and activated their account with HSBC Advance Members to be able to enter this draw. Once logged in to your account select the 'Enter' button on the right hand side of this webpage.
  2. Only one entry per customer is permitted.
  3. Entrants must be aged 18 years or over and be resident in England, Scotland or Wales.
  4. 50 winners will be selected to win the prize of a six month subscription to one of the following magazines [of their choice]: Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Women’s Health, Runner’s World, Men’s Health, Good Housekeeping, Prima, Country Living, ELLE Decoration, House Beautiful (the Prize) subject to availability.
  5. There is no purchase required or entry fee to enter this draw. By entering this draw customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  6. Entry to this draw closes at 11:59 GMT on 31st May 2020. All entries must be made before this date.
  7. The winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries on Monday 1st June 2020 and the odds of winning will depend on the total number of valid entries received
  8. The winners will be contacted by email on Monday 4th May with their Prize.
  9. All Prizes are subject to availability. The Prizes do not include any additional accommodation, food, beverage, transport costs, spending money and/or other additional costs and the relevant winner will need to pay for these. If any of the Prizes offered are unavailable due to circumstances beyond the control of the Promoter, winners may be offered an alternative Prize of equal or greater value at the Promoter’s discretion.
  10. If a winner does not respond within 14 days of the first attempted contact, the Prize will be forfeited and the Promoter reserves the right to draw a replacement winner (and that winner must respond to the notification within 14 days or they will also forfeit the Prize).
  11. This Prize cannot be negotiated, transferred or exchanged and no cash alternative or part-cash alternative will be offered. The use of the Prize may be subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Prize manufacturer or issuer and the Promoter and MLP shall not be responsible for such terms or any winner’s compliance with them.

  13. HSBC and MLP and each of their group companies and contractors will not be liable (to the extent permitted by law) for any loss or damage arising out of organising or holding this draw, the supply of any goods and/or services carried out by third parties in conjunction with this draw or as a result of a customer winning the Prize including without limitation in relation to:
    • any lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or incorrect entries;
    • any errors, interruption, delay in operation or transmission, line failure, theft or destruction of entries;
    • the use or enjoyment of any offer and associated goods or services; or if the offer does not run as planned.
    This clause does not seek to exclude the liability of HSBC and/or MLP and each of their group companies and contractors for (a) death or personal injury caused by HSBC and/or MLP and each of their group companies and contractors negligence, (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and/or (c) any other matter for which it would be unlawful for HSBC and/or MLP and each of their group companies and contractors to exclude or attempt to exclude their liability. Customers’ statutory rights are not affected.
  14. It is the winners’ responsibility to comply (at their own expense) with any laws requiring payment of any tax, duty, levy or similar impost relating to the award of any Prize, and the Promoter shall have no responsibility in respect thereof.
  15. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries by asking for email address and identity details. If customers don’t meet or stop meeting any of the criteria set out in these Terms and Conditions after entering the draw, then such customers may be disqualified and any Prize such customers may have won will be forfeited.
  16. By entering this draw, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  17. Any personal information customers who enter the draw provide will be processed by or on behalf of the Promoter, and used to run the draw and to administer the fulfilment of the Prizes. Personal data may be stored and processed in the United Kingdom or overseas (which includes outside of the European Economic Area), by the Promoter or other parties on the Promoter’s behalf for the purpose of administering this draw.   18. Customers agree to take part and allow their name and location to be used in any promotional activities reasonably requested by the Promoter.

The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel the draw (or any part of it) without notice if required by law or due to reasons beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control. The Promoter also reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel the draw for any reason where it’s reasonable to do so, without notice.

  21. The laws of England & Wales apply to this agreement and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of this agreement in the courts of England & Wales. If you live in Scotland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of this agreement in either the Scottish or the English & Welsh courts. If proceedings are brought in the Scottish courts, the laws of Scotland apply to this agreement and not the laws of England & Wales
